It is time to be thinking about the 2010 Sho-Me Your Wheels. Mark your calendar to help you remember the show will be on Saturday, September 18 and will be located on the back side of the Town Square in Mansfield, Missouri. We have plenty of room, so bring whatever you have, anything old that is mechanical. You can also bring your spouses even if they are not mechanical.
Old cars, trucks, tractors, motorcycles, bicycles, coaster wagons and pedal cars were all built so we could ride rather than walk. Don’t forget the gas and steam engines, chainsaws or boat motors…these labor saving devices are all part of our history.
This year, I would like to see some Oxen. They may not be mechanical or have wheels, but they played an important part in the history of our country. They pulled the wagons and carts that moved the pioneers west, settling the new land as they went.
You all come, bring your treasures. If you can’t bring something, come anyway and admire someone else’s. Please bring the kids and show them their history; that’s what it is all about. Remember, September 18, 2010. See you then.
